This poem is in context with the recent bifurcation of states, creation of boundaries and division of humanity. That we divided the land and chose to be with people who speak the same language, are of same color and pray to the same god, is no sin, but the day we fought and drew swords against each other, that day friends, is one, we should be ashamed of.
“Draw some lines and more and some more….
And to the yonder point, my boy, run.”
“Run and cover the land, hurl and wave ‘our’ flag.
Run far and wide, till this grass changes colour.
And let us, then, declare ourselves the lord of the land.
As others have done.
Oh yes! So, my boy, make haste but
Let us draw some lines first and more and some more….”
